Protest is terrorism?

Protest is terrorism?

The legislature of Oregon is considering (instead of laughing it and its sponsor out of the chamber) a bill that would make blocking traffic during a protest an act of terrorism that can be punished by up to 25 years in prison. And this from the state that smokes the most pot per capita in the U.S. (okay, that may not be true, but they did elect a complete stoner mayor in Portland 25 years ago). Have we gone nuts? Doesn't anyone realize this is the United States?

I understand that some talk show hosts are advocating beating protesters after chanting some pro-war mantra at them to justify the violence. Here's another man who treated people the same way, and he ended up hanging by his heels from a lamp post.
