Mistaking blogging for journalism
Andrew Orlowski questions the objectivity of Joi Ito, the venture capitalist who lives in public on his blog, saying that after "hyping" Moveable Type he goes and invests in it. Andrew sometimes does some great analysis, but clearly doesn't understand something basic about blogging: Much of it is subjective, point-of-view writing, just like some journalism out there. Any idiot knew Joi was interested in investing in MT. Just look at what he writes about and you can see his portfolio strategy developing.
